On  Saturday the 18th of October Friends meet within the cemetery to undertake clearance works within the old portion of the cemetery,  paying particular attention to the boundary walls. Works were concentrated in this area as future works will be carried out to restore the boundary walls.
In carrying out removal of ivy and bramble from the boundary walls this will effectively reduce the cost of clearance works tendered out to local contractors.  Below are pictures of the day showing some of the progress made.

These picture shows a large area of wall that was totally overgrown completely cleared revealing some of the damage that years of neglect and ivy and bramble growth have caused.
