EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

 

Next cemetery work date 26th September2009 meet in cemetery at 9.30am

Throughout the project a variety of events and training activities will be held these will include:

Traditional construction skills training:
Restoration works will provide opportunities for construction and conservation training

Formal educational activities:
These will be provided for local schools ranging from primary to middle and high schools

Subjects as diverse as ecology and history will be available to local community groups through the creation of a Heritage Learning Centre

Community events:
Appropriate events will be held within the cemetery ranging from:
 

  • Guided tours of the cemetery
  • Heritage open days
  • Art exhibitions
  • Conservation awareness  days
  • Friends activity days

All activities held within the Cemetery will need to be Risk Assessed before the activity can take place and this form can be viewed from the link within this text
